Hello everyone, Wendy here today to share one last look at our 2016. When I began looking at the pictures that told the story of our year I was baffled at how to get everything in one layout. Thanks to my Fuse, I was able to print varying sizes of pictures based on their importance and clearly portray our year to the fullest.
After printing my pictures in various sizes, I began working on this layout as if it was a puzzle. Arranging things in the order they happened and so the sizes fit well in my spaces. My next piece that I knew I wanted to include was the year punched from the Mini Alpha punch board.
After establishing the basics of the layout, I used the Fuseables collection to dress up the empty spaces and bring unity to my layout through color and images. I love that I didn’t have to take my different elements out of their spots, but instead I was able to fuse the items right to the front of my page, adding dimension and making my job so much easier!
I had a lot of pictures of friendships we made this year that I wanted to include in the layout, but there wasn’t room for each individual picture. Using the Fuse and the Instax waterfall photo sleeves, I was able to add in 5 additional pictures of friends that made a huge impact on our lives.
Design Tip: Adding different layers to a layout adds interest to your page and makes it stand out more. In my page, I have the pieces in the photo sleeves, then I have the embellishments on top of the page fused on, and to add one more layer I chose to pop up the bird and add in an element that could sum up our year.
Our year has been a whirlwind one, one full of change, but as a family we are thankful for all that we have experienced this year. The friendships and adventures will always hold a dear spot in our hearts. Thank you to We R Memory Keepers for a great year creating here with you all!
