Now that all the holiday decor is put away, keep your front door looking festive with this winter door hanger. Some die cut branches at the top lend a cold and bleak, yet beautiful touch…
…and the die cut metal snowflakes dangling down add to the wintry feel of this project.
To create this winter door hanger I gathered some sticks from my yard, pulled off any dead leaves and debris, and then attached the ends together with a rubber band.
Then I die cut several snowflakes from Metal Adhesive Sheets using the Snowflake Punches Die and my Evolution machine. Since the sheets are backed with adhesive, it was easy to add a length of twine inside before sticking two matching snowflakes together.
I added the dangling snowflakes at the top of the sticks with another rubber band to secure them. Then I tied some metallic silver ribbon at the top for hanging and to cover the rubber bands. Using the Branches Shape Die I cut some wintry branches from brown textured cardstock, and added them with a Winter Wonderland embossed tag.
