A few years ago my husband and I had a photo session, and because there were so many cute photos I couldn’t decide which one to use for my layout! I decided to use 6 small photos and combine them with patterned paper to create a grid look.
I used my Square Punch Board to cut lots of 1.5 inch squares. This board is great and I love that I don’t have any paper scraps after I use it. That makes organizing much easier!
Another great use of the Square Punch Board is to cut rectangles for the Mini Alphabet Punch Board. I only used two letters here but imagine when you have to make banners or long phrases!
I arranged my pictures and squares randomly, and to make sure everything was aligned I used my Square Guide.
I wanted to add lots of journaling so I used my Typecast Typewriter to add small phrases in every blank square of my layout.
Next, I added my “XO” title made with the Mini Alphabet Punch Board and a dot patterned paper from the Main Squeeze collection by Crate Paper.
Finally I embellished everything with stickers and die cuts from the same Valentine’s collection. I embellished some squares with a tone on tone technique and on others I used 3d dots.
My Square Punch Board really made the job easy! And the best part is you don’t need several punches! With this amazing tool you can punch up from ¾ inch to 3×4 inch rectangles.
I am glad I was able to include so many pictures! Are you a one photo layout kind of girl? How many photos do you usually use?
Have a great day!
