Hello crafty people! Soraya here to share with you some garland inspiration for your Thanksgiving celebration using two of the new We R Memory Keepers releases: the Square Punch Board and the Tear Guides! Those tools are fantastic, you will love them!
To make this banner, I chose a seasonal color combo: orange, green and kraft! First of all, I used the Mini Alphabet Punch Board to create the word THANKFUL. Each letter has to be made from a 1.5 x 2.5 inch rectangle so I moved the guides to the right dimensions on the Square Punch board and made all my little cards like this! So easy!
Now that the letters are done, let’s go ahead and make the garland! I wanted to add some texture like lace and burlap. I also wanted to create lots of fringe: the Tear Guides were perfect for this! Thanks to the water pen I could easily moisten the cardstock before tearing it. This is how I was able to create the fringe.
Let’s assemble the banner now! First, fold all the stripes in two and use the crop-a-dile to make a hole on the top of them.
Then, make other stripes with lace and burlap and repeat the hole process before passing them all on a twine:
Time to decorate! I used the gorgeous and oh so cute diecuts from the fall collection by our sister brand, Pebbles.
And voilà! The Thanksgiving banner is ready to decorate your wall!
Hope you had fun joining me today. Happy Thanksgiving to you all and until next time!
Soraya.
