Happy Monday, We R fans and welcome to Template Studio Week! We’ll be sharing awesome inspiration all week long featuring this versatile tool, and we think you’re going to be amazed at the possibilities. Let’s start things off with a darling project from Jen using the Pillow Box Template Guide.
Good Morning, We R Fans! Jen McDermott here, showing you how to put together a cute little gift box using the awesome Template Studio. Tis the season for coming up with unique and adorable gift packaging; after all, you worked hard on your handmade gifts, and you want to dress up your store-bought presents too. The Template Studio is very easy to use (think of a big paper trimmer) and it took no more time than a regularly sized punch board to put this box together.
First, I grabbed this cute gold polka-ed kraft paper, and trimmed it for a box that would easily fit my handmade crochet headwraps, or a pair of boot cuffs. Then I aligned the paper and the large pillow box template and used both the scoring blade and the cutting blade where the instructions indicated.
Then, I flipped the paper on it’s BACK (don’t rotate it! Flip it right on it’s back), and did the same thing to this side of the paper.
Then just score the paper on the verticle lines that create the sides of your box. The Template Studio paper board is really thick and strong, so you are going to need a strong adhesive to keep the box together. I grabbed my Sticky Thumb red tape, which worked perfectly.
Last, it’s the fun part. The embellishing!! I grabbed a roll of tulle, and some Wildflower embellishments to make a cute little gift package that can be used for any occasion. I just love it!!
So easy and cute! Tell us, do you make your own gift packaging for your gifts?
