It seems like every year my family and I look forward to summer–making travel plans, registering for day camp, and buying our swimming passes. And every year it seems that summer flies by so fast! We all hate to see it go, so every summer I make a mini book to record our fun memories and adventures.
This summer I decided to use my Envelope Punch Board and Indian Summer journaling cards to create a pocket summer mini book. I made several 3×4 envelopes and cut off the top flaps. Then I created an accordion-fold pocket book by taping the sides of the envelopes together with Washi Tape–one piece on the front of the envelopes, and one piece on the back.
I added a journaling card with a photo and journaling to each pocket, and made tabs with Washi Tape to make it easier to pull out the cards.
Then I embellished the cover and a few other pages, folded the pockets accordion style, and tied them up with Baker’s Twine.
Here are the cards inside each pocket.
