The Shine collection is so versatile. It’s great for any fall theme, but also has plenty of generic prints for everyday projects. Today I decided to create a fall themed layout using Shine papers and embellishments. This photo was taken last year when we took my daughter and her best friend to the pumpkin patch on a beautiful fall day.
I started with the gem patterned paper and added a block of star paper. Then I took my favorite patterned paper, the chevron stripes, and used my Art Knife and Glass Cutting Mat to cut out some of the chevrons. I backed it with rust colored paper using foam squares to add dimension. I used three of the leftover cut-out chevrons as accents to add emphasis to my die cut page title. Repeating the chevrons in another place on the page helps to unify it.
Then I layered some strips along the edge of the chevron paper, and created a collage of ephemera that I cut out from another patterned paper around my photo. My handwritten journaling is included on strips that I cut out from one of the 6×6 papers. Finally, I added a few cork stickers and some enamel shapes to finish off my layout.
So, what do you think about this collection so far? Are you loving it as much as I am? Come back tomorrow for some more Shine inspiration. Creative cheers!
