Happy Spring everyone, Nancy here with a look at two new paper pads from Die Cut With a View. I used the new Diecut Shapes and Tropicana Premium Stacks which are filled with beautiful patterns on heavyweight paper with splashes of gold foil.
The Diecut Shapes stack includes many styles from florals to graphic motifs. I started this layout with a row of die cut flags. This starts the framework of the design and adds a punch of color and texture.
Next, I used the Alphabet Alignment Guide to mark off where my journaling should begin and end. Using a pencil to lightly draw a rectangle just above the row of flags.
I pulled out the brand new red Typecast typewriter to add the story. I love that this handy typewriter can be used on 12×12 paper. I can journaling just about anywhere on my design and that is fabulous! The bright cherry color doesn’t hurt either.
Just above the journaling, a bed of layers was created using some patterned paper from the Tropicana stack. The DieCut Premium Stack came in handy for all of the embellished shaped layers. A journaling card, circular die cut, foil palms accent and ombre tag were used to frame out the focal point photo. All of the different colors and shapes add texture and depth to the center of the design.
A very simple line of machine stitching was added to tie the flags together and finish off the layout. The combination of Die Cut with a View’s Premium Stacks and the Typecast Typewriter make for easy and beautiful scrapbook design!
