Hello, it’s me, Sandra Dietrich, sharing a scrapbook layout featuring a pocket and a tag as decorative embellishments. These can be made in no time with the Pocket Punch Board and the Tag Punch Board.
Let’s take a closer look at the scrapbook page. Here is the story behind today’s project: I created a layout with two photos from a trip to Mallorca. We visited a local market where they sell fresh fruits, cheese, meat, fish and many other things from local farmers and manufacturers. We had a really nice day at the market. And I wanted to document this day on a colorful layout. The nice city map paper from Paige Evans‘ latest collection ‘Go the Scenic Route’ is just perfect for documenting travel adventures.
Each punch board comes with instructions – you just need paper and can start right away. To make a pocket, you will also need some adhesive. I used a really strong double-sided tape from American Crafts. A nice add-on to the tag is a string. I used light-brown baker’s twine.
To make the tag, grab you Tag Punch Board, cut a strip of paper (for instance sized 1.5″) and follow the instructions. First, cut off the corners. Then punch a hole and cut the paper strip to create the tag. Finally, add some ribbon or string. Done already :)!
And now place your tag onto the layout and add stickers or embellishments for more fun.
Next comes the Pocket Punch Board. Grab a piece of paper and follow the instructions that come with the punch board. I followed the instructions to make the smallest pocket. You can find the measurements for this pocket in the first line of the instructions that come with the punch board.
Create the pocket and adhere the flaps with double-sided tape. Place your pocket onto the layout. The great thing: you can add secret messages, journaling or small embellishments. Such a fun way to make interactive layouts!
In addition to the tag and the pocket, attach stickers and embellishments to create a fun page:
TIP for the title: Instead of aligning the alpha letters in a straight line, try to ‘go a bit more wild‘ …
I hope you are as excited about these two punch boards as I am. They are real time-savers when it comes to creating fun embellishments for memory-keeping projects.
I hope you like my scprabook layout inspiration featuring the Pocket Punch Board and the Tag Punch Board. Enjoy your day and have fun creating :).
