Prep Your Holiday Calendar with Retro Corner Chompers

Hey friends,

it’s Lisa back on the blog and today I’m sharing a fun project for your holiday preparations.

I created a December calendar, using the Retro Corner Chompers, to have the best organization and to be 100% ready for Christmas.

To start, I used a pink 12×12 sheet of cardstock and I attached another half of a sheet to it, to make the calendar larger. Then I went through the Boxed Cards from the Hey, Santa collection from Crate Paper, and chose the colors that I wanted to use for the boxes. I don’t have the papers from the collection yet, so I needed to be creative, haha :)) I cut the cards to create these little rectangular boxes and I also added some, that I cut from white and pink cardstock. Then I placed everything on the background to see how I liked it best.

I used the green Corner Chomper with the STUB side to punch all the corners of the rectangles. When put together on the calendar, the corners created this circle, where I was able to add some stickers to.

When I had everything placed how I liked, I adhered all the rectangles and then I cut out letters to write the word DECEMBER on top of the days of the month.

On the right side of the calendar, I wanted to have some space to put down some lists (and we all need a ton of them for Christmas prep, right?), and have a little pocket to put some tickets and tags.

I chose some papers for my lists, and chomped off the edges with the yellow Corner Chomper, using the 3/8″ side. It rounds the corners. Then I attached all of the lists together using a pink glittery brad. I adhered the backside of the last one to my calendar.

Underneath the lists, I created a little pocket, using a piece from a card as the back, and a vellum ephemera piece, for the front. I really like how it looks. I put in some cute ephemera pieces, but of course the pocket is meant to hold store tickets, little reminders, checklists, etc…

I also chomped the corners of the calendar, using the pink chomper, with the CLOUD side.

To finish my project, I used carstock stickers, chipboard stickers, puffy stickers, transparent stickers and Thickers, all from the Hey, Santa collection. And of course, I needed to add two pompom tassels in the corner of my calendar. Nothing is as cute, as those pompom tassels… love them!! 🙂

I hope you like it and it gave you some ideas how to make your holiday prep a little bit easier and a little bit more fun! 🙂

Thank you for stopping by, see you soon!
