Hello, Shelley here today to finish off Memory Keeping Week. Photo frames aren’t just for pictures and layouts! I’ve used the awesome new Frame Punch Board to whip up a sweet “Oh, Hey” card using the Urban Chic Collection.
To get started, just cut any patterned paper or cardstock to the size frame that you’d like to make.
For the base of my A2 card, I chose to cut the bottom mat paper to 4.25X5.5” and then punched the four corners at the 0.5” setting.
Next I wanted to add another layer of color to the top of the mat, so I measured between the punched corners to determine the size paper that needed to be cut (2.75”X4”).
The corners were rounded with the 1/4” edge of the Corner Chomper and then it was added to the center of the mat with foam tape.
For the top, an actual frame was finally cut from the Wink Wink Paper. The frame width was set at 0.25” and then the center piece was trimmed away as shown above. I added a vintage photo that I found on the internet behind the mat.
Before attaching to the card-front, I added a background paper behind the mat so that the punched areas would really stand out.
I love layering different sizes of frames, especially on cards, so I was really excited to try out the Frame Punch Board!
