Hello everyone! It’s Eva on the blog today, sharing a tutorial on how to create a Notebook using the Book Binding Guide and the Foil Quill Freestyle Pen.
Start by cutting some regular printing Letter paper 7-inch height and scoring it in half. You can also include some patterned paper if you want!
Next, use your Book Binding Guide to make holes on all the inside pages and your leather. The Book Binding Guide it is great because it has a V shaped base so your pages don’t shift during the piercing process. Now you can have perfectly aligned pages every time!
Before putting together your notebook, use your Foil Quill Freestyle Pen to add a title or personalize it, I also added some leaves. If you feel confident with your drawing skills, you can draw free hand, but if you are like me, you can stamp your favorite desgin on the foil and then use the Foil Quill Freestyle Pen to trace the stamped image.
Look how pretty the foil shines! The leather gives a really nice texture to the foil!
Next, using some thread and the saddle stitch, bind the cover and the sheets together.
I like to even the pages so I use a ruler and a craft knife to cut all the leftover paper.
And here’s the final notebook. The gold foil looks great on this rose gold leather. These notebooks would make great gifts! You could personalize them with the name of the recipients, which would be super fun!
Thanks for joining me today!
Have a great day and stay safe!
