Hello everyone! It’s Eva here today sharing a tutorial on how to create a beautiful Mother’s Day gift: Floral Home Décor using the gorgeous Cool Kids Stack from DCWV and the Trim and Score Board.
To create the leaves and flowers start by choosing your favorite papers from the Cool Kids paper pad from DCWV. I love this pad! It has 36 papers and some of them include gold foil. Plus, the papers are thick and double sided, perfect for any kind of craft project!
Use your Trim and Score Board to score your paper every ¼ inch.
Rotate your paper 90 degrees and flip the blue tab to trim your paper. For the big flowers I trimmed my paper at 1 ½ inch, for the medium flowers at 1 ¼ inch and for the small flowers at 1 inch.
These flowers are like rosettes but with a twist. To make them, I used my Alphabet Punch Board and made two marks with a pencil on the board: one in the middle of the left circle and one 1 inch apart.
To create the scallop borders I lined up my paper on the first mark and punched.
Move your paper to the left and line up the narrowest part of your paper on the second mark. Continue this way until you have finished punching the strip of paper.
Use your Crafter’s Glue Gun to close the flower and use a small fringed paper to make the flower center, simply roll it and glue the edge.
To create the leaves I also used my Trim and Score Board and scored every ¼ of an inch. I trimmed a few strips of paper in different heights and cut the border following the image on the picture. Using your Crop a Dile make small holes on the bottom of the leaves and use a small thread to keep the leave together.
These are some of the flowers and leaves I created. See how gorgeous that foil looks? And I love the dimension of these rosette flowers!
You can use your flowers for any project but I used them to decorate my Letterboard. I created two clusters: one on the top right corner and one of the bottom left corner.
I attached my flowers with 3D dots and when I change the quote on my Letterboard I can use them to make another project!
My decor was a hit, everyone loved it! The flowers gave it a whole new look and dimension to my Letterboard!
Thanks for joining me today!
