Hey hey crafty friends, it’s Aly here! I’m SUPER excited to share something that we’ve all been waiting for in the craft world since January of 2020–The Mold Press! This amazing machine (which is now available at JOANN Stores) allows you to take everyday household items and make molds with them that you can use to create customized chocolate, candy, fondant, candles, soap, bath salts, resin, plaster, cement, clay and more.
One of the many things I love about the Mold Press is it’s versatility. If you’re a candlemaker, soapmaker, food crafter, resin crafter, small business owner, or paper crafter this machine is for you!
Another thing I love about the Mold Press is you can use the plastic molds you make with it over and over again. Check out this mold I made with two foam bath toys.
I used it to mold half a dozen chocolates first. The plastic is food safe so it’s great for food crafts.
After I finished the chocolates I wiped out the mold and used it to mold four candles. I melted, colored and mixed the wax in my Wick Candle Maker. Then I drained it into one of the plugged up Wick molds and poured it into the molds I had made with the Mold Press.
Finally, I wiped out the mold once more and used the plastic mold to create a shaker card to match my chocolate and candles. So fun! I love that you can create an entire customized set for any celebration with the Mold Press. From candles, to chocolates, to decor, to cards you’re totally covered!
My final favorite thing about the Mold Press is that the plastic sheets are 100% recyclable. They’re made of PETG plastic which is a number 7 recyclable. When you use the Mold Press you can also repurpose almost any small item you can find in your house, so using this machine is a win-win, right?!? Thanks for stopping by!
