Maker’s Glue Gun Summer Kids Crafts by Victoria Calvin

Hello friends! This is Victoria Calvin (@victoriamariescraps) and I am so excited to share a quick and simple summer kids craft using the We R Memory Keepers Maker’s Glue Gun. For today’s project, I will be using pattern paper, shape punches, embellishments, and thumbtacks to make decorative push pins. This simple craft is perfect for kiddos who want to display their summer to-do lists and artwork.

First, plug in the Makers Glue Gun and allow it warm up for roughly 10-15 minutes. The Maker’s Glue Gun Kit includes glue sticks (clear and black) along with a set of finger guards. Note: Adult supervision is highly recommended when working with glue guns and sharp tools and/or objects such as the thumbtacks.

While the glue gun is heating up, select pattern paper, embellishments, a shape punch (any design will do), and a few thumbtacks. Also, be sure to prepare a glue gun safe surface – using a silicon or a glass mat is recommended.

Next, punch out several shapes using a shape punch and pattern paper. Layer the shapes together and adhere colorful embellishments for add interest! Using the Maker’s Glue Gun, add a small amount of hot glue to the flat side of a thumbtack then quickly adhere the thumbtack to the shape element as shown. Be sure to wait a few seconds for the hot glue to set.

And with that, the decorative push pin is ready to be used! This summer kids craft project is super simple to create. Give it a try and have fun making a variety of color push pins! Thanks so much for stopping by!
