Hello everyone. Enza here, and today I’m sharing a new, fun project featuring the amazing Foil Quill. My kids are avid readers and love to collect bookmarks, so I thought to surprise them with a set of unique and βshinyβ ones that I’m sure will put a smile on their faces π
I started by choosing the designs I wanted to use; most of them come from the Paige Evans USB Drive, but I also have a couple from the Amy Tangerine and the We R Memory Keepers Icons and Words ones. After importing the images in my software, I resized and arranged them to fit a 12×12 smooth cardstock. Since the designs are very detailed and small, I used the Fine Tip Pen for the foiling process. There are many Foil Packs to choose from, all including gorgeous colors. I went with a variety from the following ones: Flamingo, Gold Finch, and Peacock.
Once ready, I trimmed the bookmarks to measure roughly 3βx7β using the We R Memory Keepers Trim and Scoreboard. I matted them with patterned paper from the gorgeous Pink Paislee Truly Grateful collection by Paige Evans, as well as textured cardstock that coordinated with the foiled designs. I punched holes at the top with my Crop-a-dile and used the Hole Reinforcer Punch to make them more durable. I finished the bookmarks with satin ribbon, and embellishments and sentiments from the same collection.
Here are a couple of close-ups showing all the shine of this beautiful foil:
And here are three additional bookmarks that I decided to keep for myself π
I fussy cut some of the designs and used them as embellishments.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed reading about my process and will give these bookmarks a try. Happy crafting!
