To make this yummy banner you will need some light and dark brown cardstock, white, mint and pink 12×12 foam sheets, one yellow cardstock for the title and some twine. You will also need the Alphabet Punch Board and the Sprinkle Punch (and colorful cardstock to use with them).
To make the cones, start by tracing them on a light brown cardstock using the Supreme Ruler (the most comfortable ruler ever!!). I traced several rectangles before drawing the triangles inside them. Then grab your Dial Trimmer to cut them out with the Straight blade.
Then, in order to create the lines that pop out from the cones I used the Deckle blade and made lots of thin borders in the dark brown cardstock before placing them on the cones, just like this:
Let’s make the ice cream scoops! I took the 12×12 adhesive square foam sheets from Bazzill to create them. Don’t hesitate to use a good sharp pair of scissors for the cut to be easy and smooth! You will need 3 different colors: mint, pink and white. Yummy!
Need more yumminess with the Dial Trimmer? Of course yes!! So use the Wave blade to cut the frosting borders! And with your scissors cut the wavy melting chocolate sauce!
Here is the fun part with the new Sprinkle Punch! Use lots of colorful papers to create a bunch of yummy sprinkles! And stick them to the top of the ice cream scoops!
Make the big title with the Alphabet Punch Board in a bright yellow cardstock! Did you know you could follow the instructions on the free ABC App? So cool right? Just search in the app store for “American Crafts”.
And with some pink twine (or a soft yarn of your choice) and the Crop-A-Dile make the holes and attach all the cones together! And voilà! Your yummy banner is done!
Hope you had fun joining me with this delicious banner! How cool is the Dial Trimmer? This is one fantastic tool–so versatile and clever! Have fun creating everyone and until next time!
