Hello and welcome to a new scrapbook layout from me, Steffi. Have you already seen the new Layered Punches? I love them. Especially the shapes and sizes are universal. My secret favourite are the flower punches. The punches have different sizes and shapes. From these 3 parts you can create a beautiful flower. I can’t tell you how many colorful flowers I have already created. I am crazy about them.
At the moment it is still very cold here in Germany and Spring is far away. But I can hardly wait until the sun shines again and all flowers are blooming outside. Do you feel the same way? Spring is always so colourful. And so my layout should be. And it’s hard to believe, but I only put the paper flowers and the photo on the layout. There was simply no room for more. Sometimes you don’t need so many things, haha.
I glued the photo in the middle. With white acrylic paint painted over the edge. So the transition to the flowers is softer.
For the flowers I have chosen cardstock in different colours. The Bazill Cardstocks have a huge selection of colors. I almost couldn’t decide. I have put together matching colors. So that the transition between the colors is fluid, the colors are processed together. Also the flowers around the photo should be more intensive. Towards the outside they become brighter. I hope you can see it on the layout.
I bent the large flower layers with a paint brush handle. For this, each petal is bent upwards by hand at the base and then the petal tips are bent around the brush handle. That gives the beautiful flowers more dimension. I did the same with the middle flower layer.
For the small flower layers the leaves are simply bent upwards by hand. For gluing I used a foam adhesive dot between the big and the middle flower. And I fixed the small flower with a Mini Glue Dot. This gives the flower even more dimension. On the layout the flowers are partly fixed with foam adhesive dots. So they stand out even more.
I hope you enjoyed my project with the new flower layered punches today. I’m sure the flowers look beautiful on gift wrappings or cards as well. There are so many possibilities.
I’m going to try the other beautiful layered punches now. You can do so many great projects with them. I am very happy. See you next time. Steffi
