Hello, We R friends! Tessa Buys here, and today I’m sharing a fun stocking stuffer that you can make with a few of your We R Memory Keepers tools, including the awesome Dial Trimmer!
With my teenage son in mind, I created a set of holiday coupons at an online photo editing site (picmonkey.com). I printed the cards and trimmed them out.
Next, I used the Dial Trimmer to create a perforated line that would allow the coupons to be torn from the coupon book. I lined up the left edge of each coupon at the one inch mark and brought the corresponding blade down across my coupon.
This is what it looks like when the perforated line is tugged at. It tears easily and cleanly. I love that!
My coupons are about 4 inches tall and 6.5 inches long, so to create the binding of the coupon book, I used my WRMK trimmer and score board to create a panel of cardstock 8 inches long and 4.5 inches wide. I scored the paper at 7.5 inches and 7.25 inches.
Next, I folded the cardstock along the score lines, then inserted the coupons.
Using my WRMK Crop-a-dile tool, I punched a hole through the binding and the coupons. I secured a brad through the hole, and the punched a hole on the other side.
Once the second brad was inserted and secured, my book was complete!
If you’re looking for a fun little gift to give, these coupon books are so easy to make and will be fun for the recipient to redeem. Happy crafting, and happy holidays!
