Hello there, We R fans, Laura here today. I love making treat bags for all the holidays. Sometimes I use them for little gifts, other times I use them to package things up for the kids in my children’s classes, and sometimes they are simply for my own kids to give them a special little treat.
The Goodie Bag Guide is the perfect tool to quickly make customized treat bags for any holiday. Today, I am sharing how to make these cute Halloween treat bags. The base of each bag is the adorable glassine Halloween paper.
One of my favorite features of the Goodie Bag Guide is you don’t need a lot of extra tools to create almost any size bag. You use the guide to trim your paper to size. Then, using the correct pieces of the guide, you trim the top and bottom of the bag.
Lastly, use the flat edge to score and fold your bag. Assemble each bag using adhesive.
Then, the fun part begins of embellishing the bags. For the first one, I create a flag shape using the Banner Punch Board and some white and black cardstock.
I wanted to make a spider to go with the web paper. I used letters and symbols from my Thickers pack to create a fun little spider to go on the white tag.
I attached everything to the front of the bag and wrapped it with baker’s twine.
For the candy paper bag, I used purple cardstock and striped acetone paper to create a wrap around the bag. I attached a cute orange ribbon bow to the front of the wrap.
The last bag had the cute pumpkin paper as the base for the bag. The pumpkin paper was fun on it’s own, but I wanted a little something extra. So, I cut out a flag shape from orange paper and a dotted acetate sheet. I attached them to the bag and wrapped up the whole thing with twine.
I think the bags are so cute. They can be filled with candy, little trinkets, or even a home baked treat. The great thing about the glassine papers is that they can be used to hold food without making a mess.
