Hello We R friends! It’s Aly here wishing you a Happy Friday. Congrats on making it through the week! One of my favorite traditions this time of year is my gratitude journal. For a few weeks in November I keep a daily record of the things I’m thankful for leading up to Thanksgiving Day. It’s really helped me to focus on the positive and see the good, both totally transformative ways of thinking. This year I used The Cinch binding tool along with the new Journal Studio to get my gratitude journal started.
My gratitude journals are usually pretty bulky as I like to add photos, memborabilia, pockets, and other goodies. I decided to disassemble my Amy Tangerine Journal Studio notebook using the Supreme Ruler and my craft knife, and then bind it back together with The Cinch to allow for more bulk. I simply cut right down the center on the middle page. The craft knife cut through easily. I used the new 1″ black Cinch wires to bind my notebook because they match the black accents in the Journal Studio collection.
I also added an ephemera card that I embellished with some washi tape, one canoe two for AC Goldenrod puffy stickers, and the Journal Studio Magnetic Alphabet Stencils.
I added these inserts after I had already bound my journal–it was a bit of an afterthought, LOL! But that didn’t cause a single problem–Planner Punch Board to the rescue!
I created one page as an introduction explaining my goals and purpose for this gratitude journal. I included a current photo of me, and I embellished the spread with the Journal Guide, Interchangeable Stamps, and ephemera and stickers from the Amy Tangerine Journal Studio Collection.
I love that there are so many options and supplies available with the new Journal Studio. I’m excited about customizing my gratitude journal this year–I can’t wait to get started!
