Hello, We R friends! Enza here, and today I’m sharing a patriotic layout featuring the We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill. I’m amazed by the beautiful results I get every single time; this foiling system is easy to use and, with so many designs to choose from, the possibilities are endless.
When I think of the 4th of July, I think of stars. The Paige Evans digital drive offers several star designs that are perfect to give your projects variety and a fun vibe. I uploaded the images to my Silhouette software and modified their size so to have small, medium and big stars. Make sure to select the Sketch Pen option before sending the paper to cut and secure the foil with tape to ensure it’s wrinkle-free. I went with silver foil for a festive, sparkly look – I love how it looks on dark blue cardstock! Once ready, I fussy cut the stars before layering them to form a cluster behind the photo.
The collection I used is one of my favorites from Pink Paislee: Sweet Freedom; even though it’s a couple of years old, I love the patterns and muted colors. I arranged the stars towards the right side of the layout and placed the photo on top after layering several tags and frames behind it. I used the Tag Punch Board and the Frame Punch Board for this – I don’t know what I would do without such handy tools! Everything was adhered down with foam dots for dimension.
Next, I embellished around the photo with die-cuts, stickers, and fussy cut elements. To create balance, I formed another cluster of embellishments to the left side of the layout. Black and gold paint splatters gave the final touch.
This layout is very simple, but I love how it turned out. Those sparkly stars are everything!
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope I have inspired you to give the We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill a try and create beautiful, shiny projects with it.
