File Folder Mini Album

Hello We R Fans! Kimberly here today with a mini album. I love mini albums because not only are they quick to make, but they are perfect for having around the house for friends and family to look at. It’s wonderful to look back at good memories and remember adventures! I used the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board and the Trim & Score Board to create an album about our family’s summer wilderness adventures in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Minnesota. Because it is an annual tradition, I know that I will keep adding pages each year. Check out how to create an expandable file folder mini album!

The 1-2-3 Punch Board can create so many projects and making file folders is a great one! I created file folders that started with 6” x 12” cardstock.

You can make your folders any size with the easy directions in the booklet included with the 1-2-3 Punch Board.

Four folders were made, one for each of the past few years. Stickers from the High Five Line fit perfectly and allowed each folder to represent a year.

The pages inside the album were all embellished using paper, stickers, and tags from the High Five line. The collection is perfect for this theme and for my adventurous little man! Wallet-sized photos were used in this album. We picked out a few of our favorites for each year. I cannot wait to sit down with the little man and add more journaling with his memories!

And now for the expandable part. Can you believe it takes a piece of paper? I took a piece of patterned paper from the High Five 6×6 Pad and scored in with the Trim & Score Board. It was scored every ½.”

The paper was then folded into mountains and valleys, as shown in the photo. Strong adhesive was placed along the insides and then a file folder was placed inside each valley. Doing this secures the file folder in place, and still allows it to be opened.

The album has two more spaces for file folders at the end. And if I need to add more pages yet, I will adhere another scored piece of patterned paper to the end and continue the pattern. How cool and easy is that?!

What mini album are you going to create next?
