Hello everyone! It’s Eva on the blog today sharing with you a fun Father’s Day Layout using some of my favorite tools!
When I received my Swivel Knife I knew I wanted to use it to make some stripes for a background. The blade in the Swivel Knife rotates so you can cut freely and get curvy lines easily.
To make my background I made a 1 inch mark on each edge with my Layer Guides and cut some stripes from top to bottom
Next, I removed some cardstock stripes and when I was done I put a patterned paper on the back. I used this lovely paper from the Cool Kids pad from DCWV.
I made a heart collage with some photos from my husband and son and then I wrote my journaling on the same heart shape using my Typecast Typewriter.
After that, I cut my journaling out and placed it in the middle of the layout with the photo on top. I used a brad to hold my journaling and my photo together, to read the journaling simply rotate the photo!
I used my Detail Scissors to fussy cut some elements from the Cool Kids Paper Pad.
I love that ribbon shape! To decorate it I bend a stamp shape over my Acrylic block and stamped the image.
For my title I used my Happy Jig and wrote the word “we” and “dad”.
If you want to write dad here are the coordinates:
Big pegs: M12 M23
Starting Peg: P14
Medium Pegs: J12 J23 F14 F25 K18 M17
Small Pegs: N15 N20 N26 J20
I placed my words next to the heart shape and attached them with strong liquid glue.
Here you can see the journaling and how the picture slides and a few more details.
I really like how my background turned out! I was easy and fun and you can achieve different looks with a different patterned paper on the back!
Thanks for joining me and have a great day!
