Hello We R Fans! Kimberly Crawford here with a fun card that seems kind of backwards. Instead of putting the card in an envelope, I used the envelope as a design element, and used it to hold a special surprise! When I was using the We R Memory Keepers Mini Envelope Punch Board, I noticed something perfect! So, my scrapbooking friends, you can now rock card-making as well with my little tip!
The Mini Envelope Punch Board has the measurements for many different sized envelopes printed on the tool. I think that is the smartest thing ever! As I was looking through the chart, I noticed measurements for a 3”x4” envelope. Know what else measures 3”x4”? Journaling cards! All those sweet cards on 12×12 paper, that I hoard. Well, they can now fit inside their own envelope! Sweet!
This punch board is fantastic! I am totally obsessed! My second favorite feature of the Mini Envelope Punch Board is the punching part at the top. It has this extension piece that helps perfectly line up the score line. I have struggled with that in the past, but no more!
I created the card and the layers from papers and stickers in the Pebbles Happy Hooray collection. Its colorful and fun. It is also perfect timing because yesterday my little boy turned 12! This card will be perfect for him!
Once I created the envelope, I tucked a 3×4 journaling card and a gift card inside! Yes! A gift card also fits inside this envelope. Whoop!
The envelope was tied closed with baker’s twine and adhered to the card.
Here is a closer look at what is inside the envelope. When making envelopes like this, try and find two-sided paper. Adding color and design to the inside is so fun. Hello balloon animals!
So, who is ready to make inside-out cards? What surprises will you put inside your envelope?
