End of School Year Mini Album with The Works

Hi crafty friends! It’s Sana Khader here on We R blog again to share a fun ‘End of School Year’ Mini Album made using the The Works All-in-One tool (available at JOANN and Michaels Stores).

First let’s make the folders for the album. Take four sheets of patterned paper each measuring 27.5×27.5cm. Now from the top right corner, score at 3 1/4” and 3 1/2” all the way to the bottom of the paper. Then from the second line, score again at 3 3/4” and 4” towards the left. Rotate the paper anti-clockwise and repeat the same. Cut out pieces from all the four corners through the inner lines.

Use Edge Punches from We R to create seamless border patterns. Once punched, keep lining up the punched edges to the guide provided on the tool.

The next step is to create the base of the album. Trim down two rectangular cardstock pieces into 30x10cms. Take the first piece and score at 5”, 4”, 10”, 4” and 7”. With the second strip, we need to create the hidden paper hinge. Score and make four peaks measuring 1/2” and three valleys of 1/4” each. Attach this strip to the base.

Now adhere the folders one by one to the base of the album.

Finally, to make it look like a school bag, I trimmed another strip(12”x1”) and punched holes at 1/2” on both the sides. This handle was then attached to the base using brads.

I hope you love this mini album and are able to make one on your own! Have a wonderful week ahead. Stay safe everyone!
