Easy Book Binding with the Disc Power Punch

Hello friends! Who loves custom planners and mini albums?
I do! Especially when creating is such a quick and easy process as it is with We R Memory Keepers Disc Power Punch (available at Michaels Stores HERE) and Planner Discs. Here in this post I will tell how this sweet little notebook was created and in the end of the post you will find a video tutorial, too.

To create a mini book like this, all you need in addition to We R Memory Keepers Disc Power Punch and Planner Discs is paper. Here I chose to use regular “office paper” and watercolor papers for the pages inside the book, and on the covers I used American Crafts Go the Scenic Route patterned papers.
As the binding process is very quick to do, I prepared all my pages and covers first and finalized everything by binding the book together. This way, working on the covers, decorating and designing is much easier.

I like thick covers on notebooks and mini books, as it gives support when drawing or writing inside. No need to purchase extra card board, as so many tools comes with card board packages and that is a great material to use for book projects.
I cut the card board first and covered them with patterned papers, both inside and outside. The covers here are sized 6 1/4″ x 4/14″, pages slightly smaller 6″ x 4 1/8″.

On the front cover is nice layered flowers giving some extra dimension for the book, but still keeping the decoration quite small as I’m going to carry this book with me. Nothing better than drawing ideas immediately down when they pop in mind!

Here’s the video as promised! I wish you are inspired by this book and if you have any questions about it, just contact me over at my blog!
