Hello We R Fans! Kimberly here with a lovely photo frame perfect for this time of year! Believe it or not, but I made this project with a very small set of We R Memory Keepers tools. Which goes to show you just how powerful and helpful We R tools can be!
I have always loved the phrase; the best is yet to come. With all the alphabet stamps I seem to have accumulated over the years, I thought, why not mix and match the letters and make my own custom panel?
See, I knew I could make it all the stamped letters line up perfectly with the We R Memory Keepers Mini Precision Press. Love the confidence you can have going in to a project with great tools!
To highlight the words “best” and “come,” I used block letter stamps. To line the spacing between the letters up precisely, I placed my letter stamps down on my panel of patterned paper and then picked the stamps up all at once by placing the We R Memory Keepers Mini Precision Press plate over the top. Each and every time I stamp the word now, everything will stay exactly where I want it! (Might be a good time to consider making a bunch of cards with this phrase, as long as I have the words lined up…)
After placing my phrase inside a frame with a few layers of beautiful patterned papers, I knew the project needed some dimension. Looking around my desk, I noticed a simple set of circle dies sitting next to my We R Memory Keepers Mini Evolution. Let me share my fun party trick with you and show you how to create 3D flowers and leaves from a simple circle!
After die cutting my circle, I cut into the circle in a spiral towards the center. You can round off the harsh corner with your scissors to make a smoother flower.
Begin rolling the paper from the outside towards the center. I find that to get a tighter roll, using the end of one of my stylus tools assists greatly.
Once the paper is rolled, allow the edges to be free to open into a flower shape. Apply a glue to the bottom of the flower and hold in place for a minute or two until the glue sets.
Second part of my trick? Use the same circle die to create leaves!
Cut a piece of patterned paper with the circle die. Mix up the sizes for fun variety in the leaves. Then place the die over half of the circle and pass it through your We R Memory Keepers Mini Evolution again.
Also, use a bit of tape to hold the die in place. Otherwise it may slip during cutting and turn out not the way you expected.
Voila! A leaf! Go ahead and bend the leaf in the center to add dimension. Or, add ink along the edges.
What favorite quote would you create with your We R Memory Keepers Precision Press? And are you going to try out my party trick for flowers and leaves?
