Decorative Scrapbooking with Edge Punches

Hello friends! It’s Kylie with you today, sharing a ‘Graduation’ themed scrapbooking layout I created using decorative Edge Punches now available at JOANN Stores. You can create so much dimension and texture by using various punch designs within a layout.

To begin I used the ‘Arches, Daisy and Lace’ edge punches on varying papers. Unlock the punch by sliding the button on the back. Insert the paper into the punch and press down to punch out the pattern. Use the printed alignment guide to help create seamless and continuous border patterns. Once I had punched each edge, I used my All-In-One tool, to trim the punched edges into approximately 1.5″ wide strips.

I layered each strip over each other onto the background of my layout using double sided adhesive tape. Once in place I gently used my fingernails to lift out and ruffle each edge slightly. This gives a little more texture to my page design.

Once in place all I needed to do was add my photo and a few embellishments to capture a special memory from Graduation Day! I love the effect of the varying patterns next to each other from the edge punches. The colors, design and texture from the edge punches almost makes the paper look like layers of fabric.

So you can see how I used my edge punches exactly in creating this layout, I have also filmed a short process video-:

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope see my layout has given you a little inspiration for creating a project with the decorative edge punches too!
