Hello We R Fans! Kimberly here today with a fun card for Father’s Day! Using the 1-2-3 Punch Board, I made this fantastic bow tie to spiffy up dad’s special day! This card is easy to create with your children, so let’s get started!
Following the measurements printed directly on the 1-2-3 Punch Board, I cut papers to create a Medium sized bow. The patterned papers from Honey, I’m Home were the perfect mix of masculine colors and textures.
The bow is three strips of paper, adhered together. The instructions for making the bow are included with the 1-2-3 Punch Board. After cutting, a few punches and turns of the patterned paper, you are ready to assemble.
To the center of the bow tie, I added a heart sticker. It was a sweet touch. With the bows being completely customizable, you could add a piece of fun patterned paper, or any fun image!
To create the shirt collar, I trimmed a piece of card stock to 1 ½” x 8 ½.” Using the score lines on the 1-2-3 Punch Board, I scored each side of the strip and bent the card stock forward. Once scored, the ends were trimmed evenly. To add depth to the collar, use foam adhesive to adhere the ends down.
After assembling the collar and bow tie, I adhered it to a card base layered with patterned papers. Letters were cut from card stock to spell dad and adhered to the card, underneath the collar.
What color bow tie will you make for your dad this year?
