Hello friends! It’s Kylie back with you today with a new project to share. I love the creative freedom of making my own embellishments for my scrapbooking layouts. Today I am going to share how I used the super awesome ‘The Works All-In-One Tool’ (available at Michaels Stores) to add several details to a fun Spring/Easter themed layout. This tool combines over a dozen tools into one compact and ever so easy to use design!
Believe it or not the one tool was used to trim, score and punch as well as create an envelope, tag and the cutest, most perfect bow! I created a cute little Bunny from two strips of paper trimmed to 12″x 3″ each. Both were then scored to precision at half inch intervals and glued together end to end to form a circle shape for my Bunny.
When it comes to making a ribbon bow, I won’t lie……I stink! They never turn out even and my ribbon ends are always facing opposite. Thanks to the two clear pegs stored in the side I was able to insert them into the marked area of my board and tie the most perfect ribbon bow to place on the ear of my Bunny! No stitching required!
Using the envelope guide, (stored on the back of the board), I was able to use it to create an envelope for my layout to the correct size. It was as simple as trimming my paper to size, using the guide to score each edge and then use the designated punches to the side of the board to finish.
How many tools used am I up to?? I’ve lost count, but it was so good to have them all in one! Next, I again used the envelope guide inserted into the board to create a gift tag to place into my envelope. These can be made to any size you like and thanks to the guide, each top corner is trimmed off in perfect measurement.
Where I would of used at least half a dozen tools to create my embellishments for my layout, I was able to use just the one!
So that you can see exactly how I created my page design, here is a short video for you!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
