Hello friends, thanks for stopping by the blog today. It’s Kylie with you all and today I am going to share a simple and fun card I created using the fabulous Bevel Quill.
The Bevel Quill comes with four adaptors to suit various electronic cutting machines as well a a vast array of bevel board shapes for adding to your project. It creates a lovely bevelled effect to your project in no time!
For my card I selected one of the gold tag bevel boards and chose a simple ‘Hello’ text to add to the center. They have such a lovely metallic shimmer to them! Once I had adjusted my machine settings appropriately I let the Bevel Quill work its magic. A helpful tip is you can run your bevel board through your machine multiple times until you are happy with the level of effect. I ran mine through 2 or 3 times.
To create my card base, I selected a lovely green, textured card stock and cut it to a 12″ x 6″ size.I then folded it in half to make a cut 6″ x 4″ card. I really love to create lots of lovely layers in my projects and have lined my card base with two different co-ordinating papers from the ‘And Many More’ collection by Pink Paislee. Each were cut slightly smaller than the previous layer to build a framed effect.
My golden tag was added to the lower middle of my card with some foam adhesive. Not only will this help draw the eyes attention to the tag sentiment, it will create even more dimension to the card. I created a sweet flag banner, again with the ‘And Many More’ collection and adhered it with foam adhesive as well. From this next image you can see how the foam adds a lovely height.
To complete my little happy mail card, I added some foam star stickers as well as a little string bow. Now all that is left to do is send it to someone you love!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my card today and it inspires you to enjoy trying the Bevel Quill for one of your own projects!
Until next time,
