Confetti Birthday Favor Boxes

Hello, We R Memory Keepers readers, Laura here today sharing a birthday craft with you. Whenever I throw a birthday party, I always like to hand out a little favor at the end to let my guests know I appreciate them coming. Creating your own little confetti birthday favor box and filling it with treats is the perfect way to say thank you.

Using the 1-2-3 punch board as a guide, I punched and scored my paper on the back side. Since we are making a string box it is not necessary to score line C as you would for a regular box.

Then, flip the paper over the other side and punch all four sides again, using the start line as your guide. Use the punch board to round the four corners of the box.

Punch holes in each of the four corners of the box using your Crop-A-Dile tool.

Use the bone folder to crease all the score lines. Then, cut one corner of the paper along the vertical score lines. Do this again on the opposite side.

Flip the paper over to the patterned side of the paper and add adhesive to each of the cut tabbed sections. Then, fold the flaps inward to create a box.

This is the time to fill your box with treats or party favors.

Trim some ribbon to fit around the box, leaving enough extra to tie a bow. Thread the ribbon through the hole that is in line with the ribbon, then thread the ribbon back out through the hole in the flap to the right. Repeat this process on the opposite side.

Be sure to tuck in the flaps on the sides with the ribbon so the box will close properly. Tie the ribbon to hold the box closed. Using the leftover scraps of paper use the confetti punch to create coordinating confetti.

Add the confetti to a two inch by two inch FUSE photo sleeve. You can also add some colored sequins or beads, as well. Use the FUSE tool to close up the end. Using the Crop-A-Dile punch a hole in the corner of the clear pouch.

Thread the pouch on the ribbon and tie a bow.

You could easily add a sentiment tag along with the clear confetti pouch for any occasion – to say thank you or celebrate. You can use any paper and ribbon that matches your party decor to easily coordinate with the theme of your special day.
