Hello there We R Fans, Aimee here. Its kids week here on the We R Blog and I made a super fun and easy sticker book for my nephew. This kid loves stickers! He normally just uses a plain piece of paper to stick the stickers too. I thought how awesome would it be for him to have a book he could stick the stickers in and look at {rather than throwing away all those stickers and crumbled pieces of computer paper}. I think this project is a little above him to make since he’s 3 {he definitely could turn the handle on the evolution though!} but I think the older the kid is the more hands on they could be with this project! And I think all ages love sticker books. {Anyone remember Mrs. Grossman and Lisa Frank?}
I used some paper from the Cake and Candles collection, Clearly Bold, Bazzill’s new adhesive foam sheets, acetate and smooth cardstock to create my cover and pages. I cut them all to 5×7 inches.
I removed the backing from the Foam Adhesive and stuck a piece of Cake and Candles to the back.
The foam sheets are a bit thick especially with cardstock stuck to the back, be sure to punch these by themselves when using the cinch {otherwise the sheet doesn’t go in far enough and the holes get punched wrong}
I happened to have one of the Heidi Swapp’s memory Binder Embellishment Pouches. I punched it with the cinch and used it as the first page in my book to hold extra stickers.
I used the 1-inch spiral binding wire to bind my book. I’m not gonna lie I was a little intimidated by this stuff. This stuff just twists into place! Seriously there is no binding that’s easier! To finish the binding off, simply bend the binding back onto itself so your pages don’t come off!
Once I had my book together {I alternated the cardstock, acetate, clearly bold & foam} I decorated the cover with Cakes and Candles Alpha block Stickers. Now for the fun part. I used the foam scraps to make stickers! Using my evolution and dies I used up every bit of foam for stickers!
I even used some for titles on a few pages.
The evolution makes cutting the foam sheets a breeze! Here are a few of my pages in action.
I can’t wait for the next time Colten comes over and I can give him this book. Are you and your little ones making anything this summer?
