Hello everyone, Wendy here today to share some holiday gift card holder ideas perfect for boys or girls. Have you tried the pop-up dies yet from We R Memory Keepers? What fun these dies are! I used the Pop-Up Gift Box die to create these gift card holders.
My first card I made was for my daughter. I used the Urban Chic collection to decorate the card and box, but only a few touches were necessary with such an interactive card.
I die cut the box from white cardstock because I knew I wanted to use the Teal Chevron Washi tape to decorate the box. Every girl needs some bling, so after punching twirls and poinsettia leaves from the font punches I added in some red gemstones for a girly touch.
For my son’s card, I wanted to create a woodsy type card, so I used the Hello Five collection. The blue plaid with the addition of some mountains, a raccoon, and the star, my snowman made the card front. For a step by step video tutorial for making the gift card holders, visit my YouTube channel HERE.
I chose to decorate the inside of my card with a snowy scene for my snowman. I cut my Pop-Up Gift Box again with the plaid and blue star to decorate my box. The red chevron washi tape added a pop of Christmas to my box and the green font punch pieces were the finishing touch to my card.
Design Tip: Adding quick messages to your cards is so easy with the use of the Typewriter and Typecast labels (especially when you’ve already assembled your card)!
A few gift cards later and I have small personalized gifts that I am able to give to my children, friends, and family! Thanks so much for joining me today, have fun creating for your holidays!
