Halloween might look different for some of us this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it fun! We’ve got three spooky craft ideas perfect for your Halloween home decor and celebrations featuring the Mold Press. You can shop supplies for these projects at Michaels Stores HERE.

Painted Ceramic Pumpkins
Create a mold you can use again and again to make your own ceramic pumpkins!

Instructions:
Step 1: Cut stress ball in half and flatten the top and the bottom slightly. Wrap rubber bands around in a few places to create a pumpkin shape. Use the mold press to create TWO molds of the half pumpkin shape.
Step 2: Trim the molds, leaving ¼”- ½” around the edges. At the top, trim the mold enough that when you put the two molds together, there is a bit of space to pour in the plaster. Put molds together by adding binder clips all around the edges, again, leaving space at the top to pour in the plaster. The mold is ready! Put it in a cup or bowl to keep it upright.
Step 3: Mix plaster and pour into mold, leaving a bit of space at the top. Add a small twig for the pumpkin stem – it will harden into the plaster.
Step 4: Let plaster harden. Unclip mold and pull out the pumpkin. (Keep the mold because you can use it again and again!) Use sandpaper to smooth any rough edges.
Step 5: Paint and add glitter as desired.

Blood Pendant
It’s easy to create customized jewelry for your costumes using the We R Memory Keepers Mold Press Machine!

Instructions:
Step 1: Add Undercut clay around the back of the mouthwash bottle so it lies flat. Add desired words or lettering across the bottle using dimensional alpha stickers. Using the periods or dots from the “i” works great for the look of bubbles!
Step 2: Use the Mold Press Machine to create a mold of the bottle.
Step 3: Add liquid mold release to the mold and prop it up so that it is level when pouring the resin.
Step 4: Add resin to the mold focusing on the words, bottle lid, and bubbles first. (The great thing about UV Resin is that it cures quickly with the UV light, so you can do little bits and pieces at a time.) Next, add red resin to the bottom of the mold and pour clear resin into the top. These will kind of flow together and create the look of blood in a bottle. You can use a toothpick to swirl it around a bit if desired.
Step 5: Use the UV light to completely cure the resin and then carefully push it out of the mold.
Step 6: Add details to the resin bottle using paint pens, then seal it with a thin coat of resin applied with a paintbrush. Use the UV light to cure it again.
Step 7: To make the blood bottle into a pendant, drill a hole in the top and add a jump ring to it. Slide it onto a chain and the necklace is complete! Add charms as desired.

Step 3: Make gelatin dessert as desired. Add some to the mold and some to the skull. When it has set up, gently shake the gelatin out of the mold and into the skull. (If it doesn’t come out right away, try placing the bottom of the mold in warm water for a few seconds to loosen it up.)
Step 4: If desired, add “blood” using edible color spray, paint, or gel and if you’re feeling brave, add a spider or two to make it even more creepy!
