Hello and welcome to my first Christmas project. I am totally excited because I love this magical time! I like to do a lot of things myself for this time. This year I already started with the production of packaging. You can’t have enough of them. Since I don’t like packing presents in paper, boxes are the best choice. The recipient can also reuse them. Which is also important to me.
When I saw DCWV Inc Merry & Bright papers, I was immediately in LOVE. How beautiful are the colours and motifs? They look very modern.
First I used the 1-2-3 Punch Board. With these I created boxes in different sizes (sizes between 1 ¾ – 4 inch). First I started with 3 boxes and then it became more and more. I simply could not stop J And it is also so easy and fast with the board. You can find the 123 Punch Board and the DCWV Inc Merry & Bright Stack at Joann Stores or on their website.
In a box I have built a small window at the side. This I punched out with the Clear Cut Punch Circle (size 2 inch) and filled with artificial snow, pearls, sequins.
Then I thought about how I wanted to decorate the boxes. The new WORKS All-In-One tool is great for that!
I chose different ribbons from the cupboard. Then the pens are put according to the desired size on the board. And now wrap as described in the instructions. This is so easy and makes beautiful bows. I have done this for the first time and am enthusiastic.
Then I made the tassels and one pom-pom. These also fit perfectly as pendants to the boxes. I chose different yarns and wrapped the yarn around the rods again.
I like paper rosettes. Here I have created only half rosettes. Cut a 12 inch long strip and fold it. Additionally cut a narrow strip in the width of the folded sides. Stick the rosette on it with double-sided adhesive tape. Then glue the hole with a hot glue gun in the middle. This way the rosette is more stable and stays on the boxes.
I’ve turned the boxes over so the openings are down. So you can decorate the top of the box and don’t have to remove it to open it. Unless you want to fill something heavy into the box, then I would make the closure upwards.
The small mini bottles are also great as pendants for the boxes. I filled them with artificial snow, glitter, pearls and sequins. I like such little eye-catchers with gifts. That makes it something special.
Finally, I cut various ribbons, pendants and motifs from the papers and decorated the boxes with them.
My packaging is ready. Now I only have to buy the presents, haha
Thank you very much for stopping by and have a nice pre-Christmas time. Steffi
