Scrapbook Page with the Spinning Tool!

Hello everybody! Soraya here today to share a layout tutorial and some tips to use the Spinning Tool by We R Memory Keepers: you will love this new tool!

First of all, trim 6 thin paper strips (1cm) from a 12×12 sheet of cardstock. We are going to create 6 leaves so chose a greenish paper.

Then, place the paper edge in the quill bit and start spinning the paper slowly. You will get a small roll, just relax it a little to gain some volume and squeeze it to give a drop shape. Don’t forget to add some glue to attach it all together.

Repeat the same process for the 5 strips and you’ll get 6 beautiful rolled leaves :

Now for the spiral flowers, trim 3 strips in a pink cardstock or patterned paper (1cm). Place the paper edge in the quill bit and start spinning until you get a medium circle. Add some glue and here are your 3 beautiful roses !

This is what you get when you assemble them all together!

For the background of the layout I decided to go with a big heart shape so here is the process :

1. Trim several pink strips (0.5 cm)

2. Glue the ends so they overlap

3. Then on the opposite ends, glue them face to face

4. You get a heart shape you’ll need to arrange on the layout

Add more srips one by one to give more dimension to the heart and glue at every step :

Time to decorate! Place your photo and the quill roses around it. Add more floral embellishments and the title “Love Is All We Need” and voilà!

I hope you had fun joining me with this new tutorial! Happy creating everyone and please stay safe and healthy!

Soraya.
